Story
I posted the below on LinkedIn on the 30.03.20 and the response was really positive. I’m now planning on shaving my head as a small gesture in order to raise money in support of our amazing local NHS team. I was trained by and worked for the NHS from 2004-2012 and, like many of you reading this, I don’t have to look far across my friendship group and family to find someone close who works for the NHS.
My original post was:
This is my mother in law, the amazing Bev, who only four years ago underwent life changing surgery (and was, at the time, given an incredibly low chance of survival) and kicked a “rare and aggressive” big C’s ass.
Fast forward four year and Bev is clocking in full-time hours as a Nurse Specialist in Neurosurgery and part of the kick ass NHS team caring for Covid-19 patients.
I could not be prouder.
We’re all used to seeing Bev (and Ian Tumelty!) on a daily basis and we all miss them both dearly and cannot wait for all this to end so that we can go back to taking over their house with our crew 😊.
Stay home and stay safe x
As soon as I hit my (low) target I’ll let my kids shave my head and post the video of my pea head!!
Thank you 🙏
