Our mission is to preserve and protect the health of UK patients suffering with MS and / or haematologically-rooted Autoimmune Disease, in the provision of signposting, support & grants. We are the first charity with a focus on HSCT ( Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant) for MS & Autoimmune Disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 11th May I will be walking up Scarfell Pike, the highest mountain in England at 978m (3,209 ft).

I am raising money for AIMS, which was set by individuals directly affected by haematologically-rooted autoimmune diseases, including Multiple Sclerosis to help offer support to UK patients in support of HSCT (Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant) treatment which is only available on a very limited basis in the UK.

Personally having gone through this treatment successfully in Moscow nearly 2 years ago I know that any support makes a massive difference when you are having trying to secure your health in the situation where what is seemingly a very good option is not easily available.

The treatment is a big journey in the decision making process, preparation, undergoing the treatment and in the recovery phase.

It is the community spirit in the ethos of AIMS that makes it close to my heart and why every penny raised will be graciously appreciated.
