Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Churn Benefice JustGiving page.

This fund has been set up to raise money for the seven churches in the Churn Benefice. All contributions will be shared by these churches in an agreed way. All of them are missing much of  their normal income, which comes through weekly church collections and fees for weddings, baptisms and funerals. At the moment such income is severely depleted by the Covid-19 restrictions.

United Churn Benefice church services are being held virtually using GoToMeeting, but there can be no collections taken up at those services. This giving page gives everyone a chance to support the work of these seven churches, which has been continuing throughout the lockdown period. Please give generously so that this important work can continue.

About the charity

St Michael's Church lies at the centre of the picturesque village of Blewbury and its community. Containing many interesting natural, artistic, musical and historic features, it has been a haven where generations have gathered and enjoyed events since Saxon times, as evidenced in the Doomsday Book.
