We're Katie and Ciara and we both started working for Beat in October 2021. Before working for Beat we both had a personal experience of eating disorders and disordered eating and felt very passionate about the work Beat do to support people affected by eating disorders. In the months since taking on our roles at Beat, we've seen the need for Beat's services continue to grow at an exponential rate and we'd like to support Beat both inside and outside of work! 

We're not ones to shy away from a challenge so we've decided to take on The Great North Run 2022! Over the next few months we'll be training for our first half marathon and running the race in Newcastle on September 11th 2022.
