Walking boots at the ready!  Our CIM Challenge for 2023 is to walk 11072 miles, that’s the equivalent of walking the coastline of mainland Britain.  Whilst we won’t actually be walking the coastline, we will be updating you each month with how many miles we have walked collectively as a company.  On average, it’s a mile a day for each CIM employee.

Aside from the advantages of walking each day, we are raising funds equal to £1 for every mile or £11072 for a local charity which supports children with cancer, Alfie’s Wish

Alfie was such an amazing little boy who sadly lost his life at the tender age of 5 years old.  He was quite the celebrity in our nearby town of Romsey and when CIM employees were asked to nominate a charity for 2023 this was by far the most popular.

Alfie's Story.......

Alfie Butler was diagnosed with a Ependymoma brain tumour when he was 8 months old, after 5 long years he sadly lost his battle on 2nd Jan 2020 when he was just 5 years old. His parents James & Charlotte set up Alfie's Wish as his legacy to help other children with cancer as they know just how tough life can be. The charity receives referrals from the hospital Young Lives vs Cancer social workers and supports children (0-16 yrs) with cancer in the UK by sending them on family days out to make memories together to a UK destination.
