Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As the result of some peer pressure and a momentarily lapse of judgement, I signed up for a half marathon.  I don’t run.  It’s not my thing – I have short legs.  But for a good cause and a very special person, I will run…13.1 miles.

During the past 43 years, the T.J. Martell Foundation has raised more than $280 million dollars for innovative cancer research at flagship hospitals in the United States. Their funding goes to cutting-edge science that turns into clinical trials and new drug discoveries that extend and save lives.  They also serve as a critical resource in connecting patients with the doctors they need.

I lost a very dear friend over ten years ago to breast cancer; she was only 35.  So I am running in honor of Alanna.
