Together for Short Lives strives for a future where every seriously ill child, and their family, receives high quality care when and where they need it. By donating you will be there alongside us. Together, we will support seriously children and their families.

Story

Right now, families with seriously ill children are pushed to their limits. Caring for a child with serious health needs can be exhausting and families need all the support they can get so that they can make every moment count of the time they have together. Access to care and support services is not available to every family who needs it.

There's a £300m shortage in funding for children's palliative care and there aren't enough specialist doctors and nurses. There are 54 children’s hospices across the country struggling to deliver a range of vital care for children and their families. That's why we're calling on our amazing people at Cisco to push themselves to the limit and raise vital funds this Children’s Hospice Week through the 99,000 Steps Challenge. Because the lifelines that support families, like our children's hospices, should never be pushed to theirs.

The 99,000 Steps Challenge is a fundraising event, where participants complete 99,000 steps in a week and raise as much as they can for Together for Short Lives. Every step represents a child living with a life-limiting condition. The challenge will take place from 19 – 25 June 2023.

Please donate, if you can, to our challenge. If you are a Cisco employee don't forget to get your donation matched by the Cisco Foundation. Go to:  Cisco.brightfunds.org and search 'Together for Short Lives' and request a match there.
