Story
Together with the NHS, the Beatson Cancer Charity are funding a brand new, life-changing MRI scanner to the Radiotherapy Department, and they really need to raise £100,000 to complete the appeal. This MRI scanner will support their world-class radiotherapy programme to help us take treatment to a new level and improve quality of life with and beyond cancer... and we need your help!
On Thursday 29th April, we are planning on Turning Cisco Yellow alongside the Beaston Cancer Charity turning Glasgow yelow.... by encouraging you to turn yourself or your workplace yellow to promote the Beatson's MRI Appeal.
Yellow is the colour of joy, hope, optimism, and happiness. This is something we intend to inspire in both fundraisers and patients of the Beatson alike.
Our colleague, Stevie Thomson, sadly passed away earlier this year, having fought an incredible battle with cancer. He was treated at the Beatson Hospital in Glasgow and was delighted with all of the work that we did in raising money for them over the course of last year.. No matter who you speak to about Stevie... he was known as the guy who made people smile and who cared about people... We will be wearing yellow in memory of him!
