The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

Thank you for visiting the Citation page for our fundraising for The Christie.

I know for most January is a time of contemplating new year’s resolutions and getting fitter and healthier, therefore this year we are looking to combine this with some fundraising for a great cause. Some of you may know of The Christie and the great works which this charity does not only to help those with cancer but to also fund research to help get rid of the big C for good!

Cancer affects 1 in 3 people nationwide and is likely to affect all of us personally through friends and family, the Citation Employment Law and HR team have been personally affected by cancer and have a team member currently battling and a team member who unfortunately passed last year from this horrid disease. Therefore, we think it would be great to give back to the fantastic team at The Christie who work day after day helping so many families.

The Christie currently have a fundraising idea which we are looking to support in January, here are the challenge details: ‘60 miles is the average distance a patient will travel for cancer treatment in the UK. Here at The Christie, we have developed a brand new fundraising challenge called ‘60 for The Christie’ which gives people the  opportunity to take part in an activity of their choice, involving the number 60, in support of this distance travelled.’

Therefore, no matter what it is get doing 60 of something in January to help this great charity continue their vital work and support.
