Kilbryde Hospice provides a wide range of free support services for people with life limiting illnesses, as well as their families and carers in and around South Lanarkshire, through our hospice, on the grounds of Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride.

Story

Why we support Kilbryde Hospice

There was a need. South Lanarkshire did not have its own in-patient hospice. Patients, carers and families had to travel significant distances at some of the most difficult times in their lives in order to receive specialist in-patient hospice care, advice and support.

In 2012, that will change. Kilbryde Hospice will be built.

It will cost £3 million to build and even more to equip the purpose-built in-patient Kilbryde Hospice and it will cost more than £1.5 million a year to run. Thats an awful lot of money to raise but we believe, together we can do it.

The City Charity Team have taken on the challenge to raise £20k to sponsor and furnish one of the patients bedrooms.

But we need your help more now, than ever. Please support the City Charity Team to help us achieve our goal. You can run marathons, climb mountains, jump out of planes, walk on fire or help by donating prizes, facilities or services all to help build our room in Kilbryde Hospice.
