I wanted to challenge myself during 2019 and to raise money for a wonderful charity which is working to eradicate such a horrible disease which has affected my family, friends and colleagues.

I only started running again about 18 months ago after a long break mainly due to the fright I received when stepping on the scales!  This will really push me to the limits week after week to hit the annual target which is nearly double the distance I covered in 2018 , but will be nothing compared to the thousands of people being diagnosed and battling some form of cancer over this time.
