On the 21st May 2017, to celebrate my 50th birthday I will be pulling "Andy the Landy" with 8 rugby players as passengers!  The whole vehicle will weigh the equivalent of approximately 3 tons.  Yes, I know, I must be mad but wanted to do something different and daft and this certainly is!

I am raising much needed funds for Rennie Grove Hospice Care in memory of my darling Godmothers son Mark.  Mark didn't have the luxury of reaching his 50th birthday, after a very long courageous battle he lost his fight with cancer at the age of 47.  Mark wasn't scared of dying, however he had two wishes, he did not want to be in pain and wanted to die at home.  The wonderful Rennie Grove nurses supported the family 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and ensured that Mark died with dignity, pain free and at home where he wanted to be with his wife and beloved dog Lily by his side.  Without Rennie Grove this would not have been possible.

Just £500 could fund the cost of the Rennie Grove night team for an entire night enabling them to visit patients in distress in their own homes throughout the night.

£1260 could purchase a syringe pump, a piece of medical equipment used by the nurses to help make patients final days more comfortable.

I would like to thank two very special professionals for helping me get fit and healthy enough to attempt this challenge.  My personal trainer Mark Guest of Physique Fitness, Tring who long ago taught me that anything is possible.  He is responsible for my fitness, strength and technique for this challenge. Look him up he's great! www.mgptfit.co.uk.

Also I would like to thank Paul Magee of Profortis Sports Therapy and Pain Management. Paul is the man with the magic gadget! Inter X which he helped to design and develop and is responsible in the space of 3 short months of reducing my Fybromyalgia pain at least 90% and after nearly 20 years that's quite something! Look him up too, he's just as great! www.profortis.co.uk.

I would be so grateful if you could support me and Rennie Grove by donating anything that you can. To enable other patients to receive the fantastic care that Mark had would be a wonderful tribute to him.

Thank you so much!
