The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

As many of you will know I'm not one for exercise or challenges, but I'm going to take part in this one to help raise some monies for Burton RFC.  As a club we hoping that every member will join in and clock up some miles to travel 12658 km to Cape Town over 26 days from the 26th April we an aim of raising £26,000.  They can do this by running, walking, skipping, jumping, swimming or by means they fancy!   We might even clock up enough miles to get back!

So I'm pledging to walk 2.6 miles everyday for 26 days, so please sponsor me if you can and help my beloved local rugby club.  Just think of it as buying a round of drinks in the clubhouse at Peel Croft or in the pub, being as though we can't enjoy that luxury anymore!  Many thanks in advance.

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
