The Tri-Life Triple Challenge · 24 September 2021 to 25 September 2021 ·

3 challenges in 1 day, raising funds to #SPEEDTHECURE for cancer. A trek to the summit of the Lake Districts Old Man of Coniston, testing ourselves on the off-road mountain bike trails of Grizedale forest, then kayaking across Coniston Water.

Story

My motivation to take part in this self-funded challenge is to raise money for Cancer Research UK, which like so many charities has lost funding and support due to Covid. I lost my brilliant Dad who had cancer 4 years ago and would like to do this challenge in his memory - and for all the other dads, mums, kids, friends and family members who have been affected by this horrible disease.

Tri-Life was set up by one of my friends Jamie after he also experienced close personal losses due to cancer. Sadly cancer will impact most of us whether directly or indirectly and Jamie’s mission is to #SPEEDTHECURE for cancer.

By joining, supporting and fundraising for these incredible adventures we all become part of the Tri-life team.

The Triple Challenge is 3 challenges in 1 day:

  1. 2 hours,12km tough uphill Mountain Bike into Grizedale Forest, Coniston.
  2. 3/4 hours, 11km Trek to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston, climbing to the summit at 803m.
  3. 1.5 hours, 1.5km Kayak loop on Coniston Water.

Honestly- I am terrified!

I would be hugely grateful for anything you can spare to support this cause.

Tri Life Mission statement:

We all have the opportunity to be heroes. Ordinary people can do EXTRAORDINARY things. Our mission is to #SPEEDTHECURE for cancer. By joining, supporting and fundraising for our incredible adventures you are part of the Tri-life team, together we will OVERCOME.
