I have been making memory bears for a while now as they are such a lovely way to remember a loved one .

Using special items of clothing a truly unique keepsake can be created.

All items of clothing are treated with care and the bears are made with love and laughter to your specific request.  All of your donations go directly to the charity I charge nothing at all for my time or any of the extra materials needed to complete the bear.

My bears cannot be classed as toys as they do not undergo all the safety checks that toys do. They are just bears made by me at home using loved ones clothing. Where possible I always meet with families to collect the clothing so you know that it is safe and we can discuss what you would like.

Each bear takes at least 3-4 hours to make, sometimes much longer depending on the fabric and design.  Commercial makers chargers upwards of £45 often much higher. I ask for a suggested minimum donation of £20 per bear although any donation is gratefully received. 

Sue Ryder is a very special place with exceptional care that no one wants to use but it is reassuring to know it is there when needed.
