Fisrt of all thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
As many of you know I was diagnosed with encephalomyelitis at the begininning of the year. After a very scary few weeks my road to recovery started. Never thinking I would ever be in the position I am now I wanted to find out who was out there to help me - during this time I heard about Headway Essex who run a support group, and many other great support and advice services. I cannot tell you how good it is to find out there are others in the same boat as you. These groups give you the support and chance to speak to others who have suffered with a brain acquired illness. It is unbelievable how good it is to meet up with people who fully understand what you are going through.
Because of this support I wanted to do something to give something back to them. As I cannot run yet - Physio tell me the saying 'don't run before you can walk' I was lucky enough to find a friend to do the hard work for me. As you can see this is Stuart (in photo). I will be there to watch him run and cannot thank him enough for this, thanks again Stuart.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Really easy to use system although technology has beaten my mam and dad and they are showing as anonymous (incase you are all wondering who that could be).
I cannot thank you all enough and I am sorry for all the worry I have caused you this year. But I am strong and will pull through this.
