Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi all

This is all for a good cause

As a lot of you are aware molly my daughter was born 15 years ago and she was born with profound hearing loss in both ears and was one of the first to be picked up at newborn hearing screening at 6 weeks before numerous appointments in audiology to see how severe her hearing loss was

Molly has had numerous appointments since she has been born hearing aids never worked for her

We have had a lot of help from various people over the years with learning sign language and help in communication  she still has support in school

She now has a cochlear implant which she has been wearing since she was 3 years old

Herself and friends  from over Cheshire  molly attend youth vibe in Chester which is a great welcoming place for them to all meet and build confidence make new friends and do various activity’s and much more . And that’s can happen due to the  support of the volunteers

So This is where I would like to give something back to try and help deafness support network who help make a massive difference in the hearing impaired brilliant group of young leaders all information is on there page youth vibe Cheshire

So I’m asking all friends and family if you would help make this happen I need to raise minimum £500

To do a tandem skydive on 31 August at 12 pm at Tilstock airfield at Whitchurch

I’m not going to find this easy either haha so this is a challenge for me as a Merlin Passholder For the last 8 months I have never done a ride that leaves the ground

So please with all your help to do this myself and molly would 100% appreciate any  help raise some money for a great bunch of people who help hearing impaired children and teens overcome all those everyday difficulties and help boost there confidence and more

Thanks Claire

All of us at Deafness Support Network share a vision to provide a range of services that are fair and personalised, and that help give D/deaf people equal access to opportunities and services. Our objective is to provide the best choice and quality of services we can, as efficiently as we can, for as many people as possible, within the resources available to us. To do this our priorities are to work hard to understand and meet the needs of the people and families that we work with, helping them make the most of the opportunities available to them. We encourage everyone involved and connected with our work to take an active part in developing and providing our services while also respecting people’s different needs equally. We celebrate the culture, talents and aspirations of all D/deaf people and we make sure they are properly reflected in the way we develop our services. DSN continues to challenge and, when necessary, change the public perception of De/deafness. Our approach and ambition is to keep improving and increasing our services so that we can improve the quality of life of everyone that needs us. With this approach we will develop an provide services that can best meet the needs of our clients now and in the future. By looking at new ways of working, being effective and efficient, and putting quality at the center of all that we do, we can continue to be a voice for the D/deaf community.
