Event: Moonlight Walk Stamford, on 14 September 2019
In memory of Alison Shipley
This September, St Barnabas invites you to come dressed in pink and join hundreds of inspirational people from across Lincolnshire at the Moonlight Walk Stamford.

Story

Many of you will know that recently i lost my best friend to ovarian cancer. She was such a fighter until the end and a true inspiration to everyone. Alison was an amazing person who really has left a big hole in our lives. My boys have lost their Auntie and the world has lost a truly special person. Alison spent the last 2 weeks of her life at the St Barnabas hospice in Lincoln where she received amazing care. The staff and volunteers really made a difference during this time, even organising a last trip out to see the horses and dogs. Those of you who knew Alison would know how important this was for her.
Although we have to deal with our loss we would love to turn our tear into something positive and raise funds for such and amazing charity that has touched our hearts! So I will be joining with a group of friend to do the moon walk in memory of Alison and hopefully raise funds for the charity in her name!
