Story
Hello. So for some of you that know and for others that don’t know in January 2021, the wonderful Ali Bridewell my amazing auntie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This was a huge shock to our family and over time Ali and her immediate family understood the journey ahead.. We now as a whole family understand the full picture and her treatment and what the journey ahead will be..
For anyone who knows Ali-B will know if she has taught us anything, it's the importance of positivity, resilience, faith and community - and these things are going to be needed in abundance as we face the next few months and support her through what is expected to be some tough treatment.
So this is where my contribution and effort of support comes in i have recently started doing a lot of walking and have really enjoyed it, so I have decided to walk 55 miles throughout the whole month of April I’m confident I can reach that target and when I do I won’t stop, I will continue and will aim for the next big target of 110 miles.. I will strava all my walks and update you all on my challenge..
To make this more challenging I am going to be wearing a costume of some sort I don’t want to ruin the surprise but feel free to guess.. So if you see my about give me a beep of support..
This challenge will be filled with laughter, joy and smiles as I know that’s what she’ll want there may be a few years at the end, I will be doing my walks in the evenings, weekends, and as I said before all money I raise will go to the salisbury breast care unit where I know my auntie and many other women will be spending some time and it’s my way of giving to them to help give the support and care my auntie will need, this is only the start of my aunties journey but I know we as a family will continue to support and raise as much money as we can..
