Gosh where do i start with how amazing this charity is, mostly volunteers who rescue foster and adopt hundred of cats every year.
Back in 2010 I decided I needed a cat in my life and spent hours looking at photos of rescues, then one day there she was, this beautiful white homeless fur baby who had been found with a litter of kittens.
I called Cats Protection to enquire about her, her kittens had been rehomed but she was still looking for her forever family. After a chat and then a home visit I went to meet her and feel in love instantly.
I didnt take her home that day as i decided it was important for my children to meet her, the wait between the first meeting and taking my children to meet her felt like an eternity but in reality it wasnt even a week. I knew deep down she was coming home with us so had her things ready at home and we all bundled up in the car complete with cat carrier.
As expected my children fell in love with her on sight and that was that, I signed the adoption paperwork and Suzie cat came home with us.
13 years on and I still feel the same wave of love everytime I look at her. I've donated to the charity on a regular basis ever since so when I had to decide on a charity to run for this year there was no hesitation.
Every pound helps, so if you are able please donate what you can to support this amazing charity and i promise to run my legs off for them in return.
