Story

On 12th February at 2pm, I'll be taking the 170 foot plunge from the top of Middlesbrough's Transporter Bridge in memory of my uncle Neil who passed away last month after a brave battle with cancer. All proceeds from the jump will be donated to Teesside Hospice, whos staff and services helped Neil and his family at such a difficult time.

Teesside Hospice exists to enhance the quality of life for those suffering from life limiting illnesses. They provide a range of services for patients, families and carers, helping over 3,000 people in the Teesside area. Their annual running costs are in excess of £2.2 million. They receive in the region of one third of these costs from the local NHS and must therefore raise approximately £4,400 each and every day of the year from their own resources and fundraising activities.
