This is my first Half Marathon and first long distance run in many years, I am doing this in support of the Richardson's an amazing family who sadly lost their youngest daughter Hatti-Joe.

Hatti-Joe 

The lovely Claire Wilkinson has very kindly offered to do her 1st ever half Marathon in memory of our beautiful daughter Hatti-Joe who passed away at 9 months old on 2nd April 2010. 

Hatti was born with a rare heart defect who against all the odds lived a happy 8 months at home with our wonderful family, but unfortunately Hatti had to have surgery. Hatti's 1st operation was on the 3rd March 2010, but unfortunately wasn't successful and from then on had many other complications and spent the rest of her precious days in intensive care!! My husband and I spent every day and night at the Glenfield hospital in Leicester to stay close to Hatti. The Heart link charity gave us a room to stay in when we weren't by Hatti's side. There was no way we could of left her alone in the children's intensive care unit. With all the heart break we were going thru this room helped us so so much not that we ever slept much but being able to be close to Hatti every step of the way meant everything to us, in a world that was so out of our control. 

Hatti went through such a lot, more than any baby should have gone through and was so brave and we miss her more than anything. 

When Claire asked me which charity I would choose, there are a few but this is my 1st choice, to enable parents to stay close to their children when going thru such a difficult time it is so important. There are many children going through surgery who need their parents close to help with their healing process and parents need to be by their beautiful children to support the difficult process they go thru in order to live. Heartlink also have an amazing siblings play area which was vital when Madison and Marci came to see their sister. 

Claire is doing a wonderful thing raising awareness for what Heartlink do on a daily basis for family's it's important to us that they are able continue helping other families so please help Claire to raise as much as possible in Hatti-Joe's memory for a great cause
