Story

As some of you may know Jimmy and I are running the London Marathon in April. Woo hoo!

We’re running in honour of my dad, John, who passed away a few years ago. He ran it 7 times in his 62 special years here - the last time when he was 60. Remarkable hey! so we want to do it for him but also we will be raising money for a fantastic charity called the Laura Centre in Leicester.

The Laura centre offer bereavement counselling to parents whose child has died and children who have been bereaved of a parent. A support network I am sure any of us in this position would find invaluable.

Our target is to raise at least £2400. We are holding a race night called Quorn Races Charity race night on Friday 28th March at Quorn Village Hall if anyone fancies it get in touch. Any contributions you make in the meantime will be gratefully received.

Every penny counts for this local charity – so be 'part of something special' (their strapline) and please dig deep and we will do our best to do you proud - including you paps xx
