Woking & Sam Beare Hospices Midnight Walk 2013 · 21 June 2013 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Mum, Carol Bayton and I are taking part in the Woking & Sam Beare Hospices' Midnight Walk in memory of my Dad, Paul, who died a year ago. Sam Beare Hospice did a fantastic job of caring for my Dad in his last days, they were a great support to all the family and friends who visited him too. The hospice receive no government funding so have to raise the £2million+ that they need each year to carry on their great work by fundraising events such as this.
I'm not a great fan of exercise, so 8 miles seems like a very long way for someone as unfit as I am! I seem to have done a few sporty things with my Dad in the past, like the London to Brighton bike ride, Woking Bikeathon, weekly circuit training classes, and windsurfing (oh no, that was just watching him!!), so I'm sure he would be very pleased I was getting off my slightly too large backside and doing something energetic to raise some money.
Mum and I would be very grateful if you could sponsor us, every penny counts
