Hi, thank you for visiting my page! :-)

I am running for RNID this year to raise awareness of deafness and give support to those with a hearing loss. 

I have been profoundly deaf since birth and realise the difficulty one experiences when you can't hear everything clearly. I face challeneges everyday, situations others take for granted, like using the telephone, following a conversation around the dinner table, being able to lip read in dim light or those with a moustache or accents! However, I am very fortunate having received support from caring people around me, my family and teachers.

I feel running the Virgin London Marathon for RNID is my way of saying 'thank you' to those who have helped me integrate and be accepted in society.
