Below is my original story, however changes due to the pandemic have affected everything - I will still be running the marathon but in 2022. I will continue to raise funds for the BHF in the meantime because "Hearts need help now more than ever" - please see post updates of how I will be doing this, the first is by getting pretty cold!! Thanks for visiting my page & here's my story......5 years ago I promised my family I wouldn't do another marathon, however things change!!

I am now a qualified nurse working on a cardiac ward in my local university hospital, regularly seeing the effects that heart & circulatory disease has on people & their family & friends, which inspired me to challenge myself yet again.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK, and they provide health, emotional & practical support for people affected, no matter what the age or cause, but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives & it's thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.

So please, any amount makes a difference, & if you're unable to donate, raise awareness of risk factors & look after yourselves....
