After the birth of my first child I spent 6 months in a mental health hospital where among other things I got peer support form GMOTFW's. This was crucial to my recovery long term and now as an ambassador for the charity I would not even recognize my old self. They have uplifted me and given me confidence and a group of friends who have become my family. I truly love supporting people in the community via GMOTFW meets so please help me to keep this little charity growing. 

We are raising funds to help support parents/carers who currently cant attend our meets, HUB space or peer support service due to travel needs/costs, distance or mental health conditions. These people are more vulnerable because they can not access the support that they need and this must change. So many mental health conditions can stop you from leaving you home. Whether its worries about leaving the house, taking a bus, being in public or simply that your medication to reduce your mental health decline stops you from being able to drive Not only this but so many people are facing the constant daily battle to pay for food, energy and heating that more then ever people are not able to get out and about to socialize. Lets not make money another reason why you can not get out and about.

By creating informal social meets, we aim to give as many people the opportunity to escape their house and meet others which we believe helps prevent the on-set of perinatal mental illnesses such as postnatal depression and helps aid stabilization of mental health.-
