RA AND ADAMS 100 DAYS OF RUNNING · 20 January 2021

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Since having kids, it's no secret that Adam & I do sod all exercise. Sorry, we walk up some pretty steep stairs at home. We decided we wanted to get fitter. Well, just a little bit fit would do. It's good for the state of mind too so we thought of doing a run or 2 a week. BOR-ING. Maybe we should test ourselves a bit and do something challenging and do it for charity? "Yes!" I said "like running every day for a month". "Orrrrrrr... running every day for 100 days", he said. I think he must have got me after a few drinks because a contract was signed and we officially begin our 100 days of madness with no running experience, today, 20th January 2021 Whatever the weather, we will be running at least 1 mile every day for 100 days.

We chose NSPCC because the surge in domestic child abuse during the pandemic is frightening. In just one month, the number of new cases rose by 1493% compared with the same period in the previous three years, pointing to a “silent pandemic” in 2020. Children are so innocent and desperatrly need protecting, particularly during this time. Please support this amazing cause, & us for being bat sh*t crazy.

Thanks all in advance. Follow our journey on tiktok & instagram (when i get it back).
