The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

I’m joining Kidney Research UK for the 2.6 Challenge! .

The 2.6 Challenge is a new campaign, Launching on Sunday 26 April 2020 – on what would have been the 40th London Marathon, which raised £66.4 million for charities in 2019 (£135,000 was raised by #TEAMKIDNEY for Kidney Research UK). The challenge will last for a week.

2.6 Challenges we have done:

Dina - 26 Cakes Baked & Swingball hits

Phil - 26 swingball hits

Molly - 26 Toe touches

Joe - 26 shoulder lifts

Clara - 26 mins of Hula hoop

Rob - 26KM Bike ride

Dan - 2.6KM run

Zara - 26 Juggles

Maddie - 2.6KM walk

Joanne & Taylor - 26 Volleys of Tennis Balls.

Wayne - 26 Kick ups

Tony - Grew his beard for 2 weeks, 6 days.

Siobhan - 26 puppy lifts!

At Kidney Research UK they are aiming to get 2,600 of our incredible supporters to raise £26 each, which in total would raise us an incredible £67,600!

The requirement is that the activity must follow the Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing, and is broadly around the theme of 2.6 or 26 and is fun!  So I will be completing 26 minutes of Hula Hoop

With so many key fundraising events being cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has brought uncertainty to UK charities which rely on these events for vital income. Kidney Research UK is among those charities affected, as we are struggling to raise the funds we need to keep our research into kidney disease going and give more hope to people living with the condition.
