The Lane-Fox Unit at St. Thomas' Hospital, London, cares for patients who are dependent on ventilators to breathe through illness, disability or accident. It is the UK's principal centre for the assessment of the late effects of Polio.

Story

Dear friends, I hope you will help me to raise money for the Lane Fox Unit, St Thomas' Hospital. I am running the 26 miles for the 26 years my Dad has been paralysed from the neck down and respirator dependent. The Lane-Fox Respiratory Unit provides and maintains the machines that keep him alive and the support that makes his being alive more than just survival. The Unit's Patients' Association, L-FRUPA, contributes the much-needed funding for equipment, research, staffing, development and rehabilitation support for " responauts" and their families. Every successful sponsored mile I run will help their efforts.
It's the most efficient way for me to raise funds for my charity. If you are a UK taxpayer your donation will be increased by almost a third at no cost to you.

Both myself and my chosen charity really appreciate your donation. Any amount will make a difference but please try to give generously!

Many thanks.
