Clare Boat Club Ergathon

Samuel Taylor is raising money for Sue Ryder
In memory of Anne Brewin
Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Anne Brewin, Clare Boat Club Vice-President, sadly passed away in March. As a club, we are aiming to row 500,000 m over the course of a day in a club ergathon held in her honour. Four Clare rowers will be erging for one hour every hour from 7am-8pm on Sunday 23rd April. Over 35 rowers have signed up to take part, including our captains, members of committee, rowers from almost every boat and even some of our coxes!

We’d really appreciate your support in our ergathon. We are raising money for Sue Ryder, a charity chosen by Anne herself, who provide palliative care, neurological care and bereavement support.

Anne Brewin gave so much to the club over her 50 year involvement and this ergathon is a small gesture to symbolise our gratitude.
