My name is Euan and I am 8 years old. I was out walking in The Peak District on 30th December 2020 with my family and we witnessed the Edale Mountain Rescue Team responding to an incident on Mam Tor.

The response included multiple vehicles from Edale and Buxton Mountain Rescue Teams, and a NHS ambulance. There were at least 12 people from mountain rescue involved in the response.

I was totally amazed by how many people were there  to help the injured person and when my mum and dad explained that the teams get all their money from people donating I decided straight away that I wanted to find a way to give some money to help the teams carry on rescuing people.

I love riding my bike and I have decided to do a 10 mile sponsored bike ride (within lockdown rules) to raise money for Edale Mountain Rescue Team.

I’d be so happy if I could meet my target of £300. It will help out so much.

Thank you for reading my story and supporting me.
