Everyone that knows me well knows that I don't like to walk, let alone run! But last year my Dad suffered a major stroke which resulted in him losing the ability to speak and struggling with daily tasks.

Seeing my Dad go from a very independent man, to relying on my amazing Mum and family for help and support, has turned our lives upside down to say the least. But if he can be as much of a hero as he has been since this life changing event, I can (hopefully) run this half marathon for him and help others in a similar situation.
