For the next 12 months I will be completing a different fitness challenge every month, designed to push me physically and mentally and so I’m in the best health possible as I start a new decade!
The first challenge will start on my 39th Birthday on 15th October by competing in a fitness event known as Hyrox. This event combines running with functional exercises - in total I will complete 8km run in 8x 1km splits with a functional exercise between each 1km run - 1km ski erg, 50m sled push, 50m sled pull, 80m burpee broad jumps, 1km row, 200m farmers carry, 100m walking sandbag lunges and 75 wall balls.
November challenge - virtual row of the English Channel
December challenge - 1000 burpees in one evening (time cap 3 hours)
January challenge - hyrox again but aiming to beat my time
February challenge - 40miles on the assault bike
March challenge - Goggins challenge
April challenge - murph challenge
May challenge - Leeds marathon
June challenge - super human games in Bristol
July challenge - Gym sled push 75kg on the sled pushing for 1km
August challenge - Yorkshire 3 peaks
September challenge - paras 10
