I have been lucky enough to secure a space through the ballot in the 40th London Marathon, and felt it was the perfect opportunity to raise money for a cause that's close to my heart. 

My grandfather, Frank Perkins,  spent the last few months of his life at the Royal Star and Garter home in Richmond (no longer there) where they provided exceptional care for him as a veteran. 

Despite being a general fitness enthusiast (PT, runner) this is only the second marathon I will have run (and likely last!)...I'm definitely more of a short distance runner! Any money you could spare to support this worthy cause would mean the world to me.
