I am a music fanatic! Without music, my life would be incomplete. As a very busy academic and foodie, music helps me to relax. When I sing (and I do regularly), I feel that I am able to express untapped emotions. My gorgeous little family are also music lovers - my husband is a talented producer and my twin boys ooze musical talent - it  brings us immense joy through singing, dancing and playing… 

I am privileged to have recently become a trustee of PMZ, and seeing them in action is truly inspirational.  The transformative power of music is at the heart of the work that they do in diverse communities across Plymouth. Bringing smiles to the faces of older people; empowering and engaging young folk; and offering purpose and meaning to so many other individuals. Their essential work is led by the most phenomenal staff (and volunteer) team, who work tirelessly to wave that magic musical wand. 

But funding is always an essential aspect to drive such wonderful charity work. So here I am (ten years after doing the Plymouth triathlon for PMZ's 10th anniversary), celebrating their 20 year anniversary, by donning my running gear and embracing this Plymouth half marathon challenge.
