Story

Here I am again, asking for your support for a challenge I have already  undertaken. But this one is a challenge like no other...

Whereas previously, I have asked for support for more physical endeavours - (e.g. triathlons and runs), this time, the challenge has been getting my dear mother into a local Devon recording studio (no mean feat logistically), so that we can connect and record a duet together - something I have wanted to do all my life!

For those of you who know me, I love singing, and performing! But I am also privileged to have a mother who is an absolutely formidable singer: "Dr Patricia MacMahon has had a highly distinguished singing career, specialising in concert, recital and oratorio work, appearing throughout the world".

So my life would not be complete without creating this amazing opportunity to share this special space with my mum, to bring to you: Rossini's Cat Duet - a special recording, which took place on Saturday 27th September, in Plymouth Music Collective Studio. With the wonderful Anna Batson (from PMZ) accompanying on keyboard.

I would like to ask you to donate all you can for this challenge, so that I can share this very special recording with you. All money raised will be donated to Plymouth Music Zone. As a trustee of this marvellous charity I am doing all I can to support and celebrate its 20th anniversary year, because this charity is all about making powerful musical connections every day, whether it is mothers and daughters; friends, loved ones, brothers and sisters, grannies and grandchildren - IT IS ALL ABOUT CONNECTION & SHARING A LOVE FOR MUSIC!

Please give generously (I suggest a minimum donation of £5 but more is obviously welcome!), and in exchange I will share the recording with you....(you will receive the link to the soundcloud recording via email once you have made your donation).

THANK YOU :o)
