Princess Alice Hospice has a special place in my heart. This hospice provides amazing care and support to patients before and at the end of their lives. It also provides huge support to the families going through this difficult time.
My lovely mum got diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer and was cared for at Princess Alice hospice back in December 2014 for a couple of weeks before the end of her life.
Every member of staff there is amazing, they looked after my mum so well throughout her time there. They helped us create memories with her and we as a family were allowed to visit anytime of the day, stay over with her, they even let my mums treasured dogs visit most days.
They also provided me with bereavement counselling after my mum died and I was struggling.
Princess Alice Hospice provides a comprehensive range of services that respond to the individual needs of patients and their families, so that they can live life to the full, create memories, share special moments and when the time comes, support them through, before and after the death of a loved one.It costs us £10.1 million each year to provide free, high quality specialist end of life care to tens of thousands of people with life threatening illnesses. We rely on wonderful supporters like you to help us to generate thousands of pounds through participating in events like the Swim Serpentine.
