The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. For many young people simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible. So, when treatment ends the Trust’s work begins.

Story

Me and my lovely friend Lindsay (that's her in the pic!) are running the Royal parks Half Marathon on 14th October in aid of The Ellen MacArthur Trust which is based on the Isle of Wight, with their main aim to rebuild young people's confidence after cancer through running sailing trips + experiences across the UK for people aged between 8 - 24. The trust works with every young person’s principal treatment centre, and a growing number of designated units, in the UK, and launched in 2003.

Now...it's fair to say I am not the best of runners, and should have probably started running a little earlier than planned...however I've been running morning, lunch and even in the dark, and am determined to make it around the 13 miles. So...if you have a spare £5 I'd be incredibly grateful for such a good cause!
