Story
In March my sister was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma - an aggressive malignant brain tumour. Her life and that of her husband, Sam, and two daughters, Elinor and Eva were turned upside down in an instant. She underwent a 9 hour craniotomy at Kings College Hospital in London on 11th March and is now part way through a gruelling 6 week regime of chemo/radiotherapy. In these current times of COVID-19 lockdown she's making the journey to the Cancer Centre at St. Thomas's Hospital 5 times a week for her ongoing treatment. The side effects have now started to kick in............nausea, fatigue and hair loss. She's shielding so can't go anywhere other the than the hospital and yet despite this she's retained her grit, determination and sense of humour. She also has no idea what I'm going to do!
Her current regime is due to finish on 21st May - the day I will part with all my curls.
