We are a sexual violence charity providing support to anyone who has experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. Our ethos is listening, believing and supporting. We relieve the distress of survivors through the provision of trauma-informed services and resources.

Story

SARSAS helps 4,000 women each year across Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire and Somerset. They have a team of skilled, compassionate therapeutic practitioners all trained in working with the trauma of sexual violence, recent or historical.

Their ethos is Listen, Believe, Support.

They provide confidential services: helpline, live chat, email support, counselling, group work and art therapy.
Finding support can make all the difference in learning how to process and heal from trauma and Every pound donated to my target will help someone rebuild their life.

I am taking on a huge challenge of running/walking Race to the Stones, 100km/62miles over two days, finishing at the iconic ancient stone circle at Avebury. It will not only be a test of physical endurance but of mental strength, and on the way I hope to find some self belief and self worth, and to make it to the finish feeling good about myself! As with my journey to recovery, I just need to keep putting one foot in front of the other!
