Bath Half Marathon 2014 · 2 March 2014 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

I'll be running the bath half marathon again this year in memory of my Grandad and to raise funds for Parkinson's UK.

I still find myself torn between being grateful for the time I spent with him and heartbroken that he is no longer here. Parkinson's disease effects 127,000 people in the UK alone, Parkinson's UK works towards finding treatment options and funding specialist nurses who can provide care for people who have the disease. I don't need to explain what an amazing guy he was because I feel I  could go on for ages!

"Missing someone isn't about how long it's been since you last saw them, it's about that very moment when you're doing something and wishing that person was right there with you"

There's so many special moment's that I won't be able to share with my Grandad, so I just want to do my bit to atleast increase the length of time families spend with their loved ones. I had great support last year so I'm hoping and counting you guys will do the same this year! (This includes putting up with my moaning, nothing new there! but I promise it's all worth it)

PLEASE donate anything you can!!
