We are an independent charity dedicated to putting our region’s cancer needs first, funding pioneering research to tackle the cause, improve the care and find the cure for cancer. We focus on the types of cancer that affect people living across North West England and North Wales the most.

Story

My younger sister Clare died on Saturday January 18th 2014– she was diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma in June 2013.

Merkel cell carcinoma is a very rare disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the skin.

We (her mum, brother, sisters and her nieces and nephews) are going to take part in a variety of activities including moonlight walks, races for life and the Great North Run in her memory and to raise money for more research into cancer.

Clare was the sister who made things happen – in family situations, in the Architecture Department of LJMU and in 1330(Warrington) Squadron of the ATC and we miss her so much.
