3 Peaks Challenge · 24 April 2008

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

On 19th-20th June, we are taking part in the 3 Peaks Challenge forming part of a team from Experian Automotive who will attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland England and Wales; Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – within 24 hours!

We have decided to do this in aid of the Parkinson's Disease Society - a charity which has personal relevance for Clare as her Step Dad Brian was diagnosed with the disease 18 years ago. Brian has been able to lead a more normal life thanks to medical advances and research into Parkinson's Disease. A cure is still being sought and research ongoing which is why it is so important to help fund this research to help Brian and thousands of others.

Over the coming weeks we will be in training, doing practice walks, swimming, running and forgoing some of our usual visits to the pub! We will keep you posted of how the training is going.

Thanks for your support
