ICYE-UK sends volunteers to live and work in communities worldwide where they learn new skills and make a real difference to peoples' lives. It aims to promote peace and cultural understanding through the exchange of people and skills.

Story

Hello!! I will be spending the majority of 2010 in Bolivia volunteering with the charity ICYE, I'll be placed in a project run by a Bolivian charity which could be helping street children, promoting basic human rights or environment conservation to name a few.

Get down to the Bombed Out Church (St Luke's) Liverpool City Centre on the 24th October for music, cake and prizes and help me raise some cash for this cause!!

Bolivia is...

1. The poorest country in South America
2. The highest, most isolated nation in the Southern Hemisphere
3. One of the coldest, warmest, windiest, steamiest places on earth
4. Has the largest proportion of indigenous people (over two thirds of the population)

To get there I need to raise the above amount and as you can see I could do with a hand,so come down to the church on Saturday and be a part of it!! Or free yourself of that loose change by donating online every penny really does count!

Thank you to everyone who sponsored my jaunt up Snowden back in May, I really appreciate it!
