At Macmillan, we will move mountains to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

On Sunday 18th May, a football match will be played between a group of Burnley FC supporters and the Vintage Clarets - a team made up of former Burnley FC professionals. The match will take place at The Arbories, home of Padiham Football Club. All of the fans - members of the Clarets Mad message board - are raising funds through sponsorship, with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The match is being played in memory of Tony Nuttall. Tony was an avid Burnley fan and a regular on the message board. In 2006, he instigated the first 'Clarets Madiham' match. He even played in one of the games - years after his retirement from local amateur sport. Sadly, in June 2013, Tony passed away after a battle with cancer at the age of 54. And so, in his memory, 'Clarets Madiham' is being reborn!!

We ask that you kindly donate as much as possible for this wonderful charity. The match kicks off at 2pm, entry is free - however we will be holding collections at the entrance, so again please give generously. It would be fantastic to see a good crowd at the venue for this event. So if you can, get down to the stadium and cheer us on!! The postcode for the stadium is BB12 8LE.

Hope to see you there!
