So My Journey Begins – Prostate Cancer
In March, before moving to Dubai, a health screening showed high cholesterol and urinary issues. My PSA was elevated, leading to an MRI and biopsy. (Thank you Dr Adam Hazell for questions and prompt actions ) I was diagnosed with Stage 2 prostate cancer a life-changing moment.
After discussing options, we chose brachytherapy in Dubai, where my family was relocating.
I’m grateful to the NHS, especially Mr. Andrew Bayle and his team, for their care.
I’ve completed radiation treatment and now begin the fight, hopeful for a good outcome.
Men get checked early with a simple blood test. Partners, please encourage them.
When your doctor says, “I’m glad we’re talking now, this July and not next! “ it really hits home.
I did not think I was bulletproof, I just thought the bullet would never hit me.
