Story
Over the next 8 months I will damaging my impressive dad bod by completing the London Classics, which involves the following three events:
- Cycling 100 miles in the Prudential RideLondon sportive on Sunday 4th August.
- SwimSerpentine, a 2 mile swim in the Serpentine Lake on Saturday 21st September.
- Running the 2020 London Marathon on Sunday 26th April.
I'm taking on the above in support of the youngest in our family, my cousin Georgie. Georgie suffers with Cystic Fibrosis (info below) and has been incredibly brave over the last 21 years, but more so in the last 2, where she has endured regular spells in hospital and has fought increasingly harder to live as normal a life as possible. Georgie currently relies on oxygen support 24/7 and is on the waiting list for a lung transplant, which could transform her life.
If you could please be kind enough to make a donation in support of me completing the London Classics for CF, it would make me a very happy man indeed. Any donation would be greatly appreciated!
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
