Paisley-Whithorn 100 Mile Challenge · 9 December 2016

Classrooms for Malawi plan to contribute to the advancement of education in Malawi by working side by side with the local community to build new classrooms or to refurbish existing ones, improving the learning environment available to Malawian children. As of 1/10/18, we became a SCIO (SC048091).

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donations collected from the Paisley-Whithorn cycle event will assist our team of experienced volunteers, made up of employees from Renfrewshire Council, to return to Renfrew Kanyeteza Primary School to build a nursery education facility with a medical room, a school playground area and install solar panels so adults can be taught in the school at night.  This will complement the new school, Mary’s Meals kitchen and teacher’s house built in 2015.

Classrooms for Malawi improve places of education in some of the world’s poorest communities.  As well as building and improving classrooms, the charity has also successfully refurbished and built other essential buildings for schools, such as toilet blocks and kitchens.  Since the charity’s inception in 2012, we have built and renovated over 70 classrooms.

Thank you for your support!
