My mother got diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer during 2006. Thankfully she's alive due to the best possible care in hospital and getting better all the time -- however the fear remains.

Then in September my best friend from early school days, Sonja, died of cancer. She got married only a year ago. They were building a family home and had plans for kids. And then... she died aged 30... THAT brings reality home -- it can happen to anyone at any age...

This is my challenge: hiking nearly 130km through ricefields and across (one) mountain in Cambodia for Macmillan and help raise money to help many more people to get the (financial & caring) support they and their families & friends need during that time. 

Please help me to achieve my target!  I don't care how much you give, just PLEASE do give something.

And to all those out there who know me - Sleeping in a tent?! Creepy crawlies?! No comforts of home?! ME???!!! What a joke!!!... and to top it all off, having a hole in the ground as toilet --whoopeedoo... see what I'm saying? - I'm a comfy-4*minimum-hotel-type-girl. It won't be a walk in the park or as some of of my friends called it: a holiday!
